Holiday in Cambodia

So the Universe decided

That I should lose my red bandana

So I was made to forget it twice

But I always went back for it

The Universe didn’t like that

So it made me lose my shades

And even made a monkey bite me

To get me busy with vaccines

And insurance papers

And all that stuff

But none of that mattered

For it didn’t make me lose my bike

As I was cycling on the red dusty roads

Among temples with motives

Of dancing ladies with big titties

And drawings of the cosmic empire

They were all there with me

Looking at me

Probably laughing as I failed miserably

To befriend their monkeys

Their ancestral companions

That probably bit them too.

The only difference was

That there weren’t vaccines back then

Yet again

The cosmic empire might’ve been founded

Through the miracle of rabies
